MARK YOUR CALENDARS FOR A HOMETOWN GATHERING NEAR YOU!!

IACT has planned 16 regional town hall-style meetings around the state during the month of October (see calendar below). These meetings, called Hometown Gatherings, are an opportunity for elected officials, community and business leaders and concerned citizens to discuss the future of local government and solutions that will make a difference.

At these gatherings, we will discuss recent legislative actions that continue to put more and more fiscal burden onto the backs of our cities and towns without providing any options for relief. We will also discuss a solution – Hometown Matters, a plan created by municipal government leaders and experts that will put local decision making about local budgets back in YOUR hands!

Please plan to attend a Hometown Gathering AND distribute this invitation to as many people as possible. These forums are an important piece of IACT’s public information campaign and will help us educate the public on this critical topic. Come learn how you can make a difference and keep the services you pay for and expect!
