The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department will be awarded the first Indiana Law Enforcement Accreditation Commission (ILEAC) award on Wednesday, 11-1-06.

The Indiana Association of Cities and Towns (IACT) has planned 16 regional town hall-style meetings around the state during the month of October and early November. These meetings, called Hometown Gatherings, are an opportunity for elected officials, community and business leaders and concerned citizens to discuss the future of local government and solutions that will make a difference.
